There is unfortunately a lot of Super Sentai (primarily early ones) that aren’t subbed in English, so do you think they’re still worth watching even if I can’t understand what they’re saying?

himitsusentaiblog:

The number of subbed series seems to be growing all the time.  Rampage Subs recently finished fabsubbing all of the the first series, 1975′s Himitsu Sentai Goranger.  The only series I know for sure don’t have completed fansubs from the Pre-Zyuranger era are 1977′s J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai, 1980′s Denshi Sentai Denziman, 1986′s Choushinsei Flashman and 1989′s Kousoku Sentai Turboranger.  All of these are being worked on but have not been finished yet.  An excellent resource for finding the older series is KRDL.moe.

Also, they are all worth watching!  I used to have to deal with watching Super Sentai on untranslated VHS tapes rented from local Japanese grocery stores and I still ate them up.  We live in a pretty awesome age for Toku fandom though where almost everything is or soon will be subtitled out of Toei’s big franchises (Super Sentai, Kamen Rider and Metal Heroes).  It’s a great time to be a fan and be alive!

Heck, we’ve even got 10 whole seasons either currently available or soon to be available on legit US DVD with an 11th coming in December plus the pending release of the first Metal Hero series on Blu-Ray!
