Podcasts, audiobooks, and just… educational rants are the best thing to happen to my productivity, EVER.
That said, I keep forgetting which ones I like to listen to, so here’s a list! I’ll update it as I remember or discover new things!
FILM CRITIQUES:
- Lindsey Ellis: 20-40 minutes/video, lots of musicals and Disney
- Every Frame a Painting: ~10 minutes/video, very visually engaging!
- Pop Culture Detective: ~20 minutes/video, critiques from sociological perspectives
- kaptainkristain: 5-10 minutes/video, engaging and awe-inspiring
- Big Joel: ~30 minutes/video, nothing groundbreaking but good brain food!
- Nerdwriter1: ~8 mins/video, covers lots of social issues as well as film

HISTORY:
- The British Museum: <10 mins/video, but the titles are incredible and the people are passionate and fun!
- Internet Historian: Does this count as history…? Either way it’s entertaining as hell! Somewhat offensive subject matter, you’ve been forewarned.
- Sam O’Nella Academy: 5-10 mins/video, covers mostly fun/weird stuff from history! Like popcorn for your brain!
- Overly Sarcastic Productions: 3-30 mins/video, a dynamic duo who cover history and historically important novels! VERY fun, probably one of my favorites on this list!! GO WATCH THEIR STUFF
GAME DESIGN:

- Zero Punctuation: ~5 mins/video, fast paced and INCREDIBLY cynical, lots of foul language, BE WARNED
GAMERS:
- Agentjr: total sweetheart who plays through horror games with a soft spoken, well reasoned attitude. Highly recommend his Silent HIll playthroughs!!!!!
- Cryaotic: plays lots of indie horror/cute games and tries to be as morally right as possible, refreshing if you don’t like the chaotic/screaming playstyle of Markiplier.
MISC. SUBJECTS:
- Ask a Mortician: 5-10 mins/video, covering the morbid subject matter of death in a way that’s respectful and uplifting in a fun way!
- PBS Idea Channel: ~15 mins/video, no longer uploads but worthwhile if you want to look back on social issues in a discussion-heavy format.
- How to Adult: 5-10 mins/video, MY SAVING GRACE, covers everything from doing taxes to making coffee.
- ReignBot: 5-20 mins/video, horror, urban legends, and creepypasta commentary. Cheesy, but not as horribly abrasive as similar channels.
