Batman: Gotham Adventures #14
He’ll end up loving it, become a fan, and ardently wait for the sequels, but not in line with everyone else. Bats’ll be poised on top of the bookstore’s gargoyle, just close enough to swing down when the midnight sale pops off. Pick up the latest, mumble about research while paying, and sweep back out.
Personally I’m a fan of the idea of Bruce Wayne in his fabulously tailored suit waiting in line at Barnes and Noble and causing a scandal in the tabloids because “Rich Eccentric Party Boy, BRUCE WAYNE, Supports Notorious Criminal Turned Author Extraordinaire Harley Quinn And Her Latest Novel Adventure!!!” as it adds to the credibility that Bruce Wayne and Bats are in no way the same person, ‘cause the idea of Batman hunkered down in the rain under the shelter of a gargoyle as he flips through her book is just too surreal. Even for Gotham.
