Does anyone else ever google the meaning of a word just to double check that they’ve used it correctly, or is it just me, hanging out over here with my English degree?

It ain’t just you.

Not to mention the thing that’s a cousin to this – “I’ve seen that word used plenty of times FOR YEARS, and I have an idea of what it means from context, but I’ve never remembered to look it up …”

The english degree leads to doing it even more, methinks, because lots of reading academic texts with new words to get not quite right ^^;
